An Elegant Engagement Session at the Art Gallery


Would you believe me if I said this session wasn't planned?


Okay, that's not entirely true, but Abby and Tyler's engagement session wasn't supposed to be at the National Portrait Gallery at all! We originally planned to shoot at a monument nearby, but when the forecast called for temperatures around 20 degrees, we knew we had to pivot.


I had never shot at the Portrait Gallery before, but in my last-minute search for an indoor location in the DC area, I came across the gallery and knew it would be the perfect spot. Abby and Tyler were more than happy to change the plan in an effort to stay warm. When we nearly froze during the walk to the gallery, we knew we made the right decision and I could not be happier with how their photos turned out!
